The SQE1 practice questions app with 4,400+ real-format SBAs
SQE1 Prep for iPhone and iPad carries 4,400+ single-best-answer practice questions in the exact format the exam uses: a factual scenario, a question, five options, one best answer. The download is free, the first topic of every subject is open, and each question ends with a written explanation of why the best answer wins and why the other four fail.

The format is the point
SQE1 does not ask you to write essays. It gives you 360 scenarios across two papers and roughly a minute and a half per question, and the skill it rewards is picking the best of five defensible-looking options under time pressure. That skill only comes from practising in the same format. Every question in the app follows the SRA single-best-answer pattern, tagged by subject and topic, so a session on, say, the postal rule drills the exact decision you will face in the hall.
Questions are drawn from all 13 FLK1 and FLK2 subjects and all 144 specification topics, with difficulty tags so early revision can start gentle and taper hard.

Explanations are where the marks come from
Getting a question right teaches you little if you guessed. Getting one wrong teaches you nothing unless something explains the gap. Each explanation in the bank states the governing rule, cites the key authority where one exists, and then walks the wrong options one by one. Reviewing ten explained questions moves your score further than rushing thirty unexplained ones, which is why the review screen is the app, in a sense, and the quiz is just the way in.
What the free download includes
Free gets you the full study notes for the first topic of all 13 subjects, syllabus browsing and progress tracking, which is enough to judge whether the writing suits you. Premium opens the full 4,400+ bank, the flashcards, and unlimited mock exams as a weekly subscription with a 3-day free trial, or an annual plan. If you would rather practise in a browser first, the website has its own bank and a free question on every subject page.
Quick answers
- Are the practice questions written in the real SQE1 format?
- Yes. Every question is a single-best-answer item: a scenario, a question stem and five options, matching the format the SRA uses across both FLK1 and FLK2 papers.
- How many practice questions should I get through before sitting SQE1?
- Candidates who pass commonly report two to three thousand. At thirty questions a day that is around three months, which is why a bank of 4,400+ will not run dry mid-revision.
