AI Policy

Last updated: 31 July 2026

In short

This page explains how we use artificial intelligence at SQE1 Prep. The short version: we use AI as a tool, under human direction, across the business — including in drafting our study content. Our team decides what gets written, sets the standard it is written to, reviews the output, and is accountable for what we publish.

How we use AI

We use AI tools to help build and maintain the website itself — for example writing and reviewing code, improving performance and reliability, drafting marketing copy, and handling routine data and support tasks. Where AI is involved in anything we publish, a person reviews it and is accountable for it.

Our study content

Our practice questions, explanations and flashcards are original works, written in-house to the published SRA assessment specification. They are not taken from textbooks, and they are not real SQE exam questions.

We use AI as a drafting tool, working to specifications and calibration we set — including measurements taken from the SRA’s own published sample papers. No question is published on the strength of a model’s output alone: every batch is reviewed against source, and we run continuous audits that re-derive the law rather than trusting what is already on the page. When we find an error we correct it and reissue, and buyers get the updated edition free.

Accuracy and not legal advice

SQE1 Prep is a revision aid provided for educational purposes only. Our content may contain errors, does not constitute legal advice, and no exam result is guaranteed. Always check the current SRA assessment specification and rely on your own judgement.

SQE1 Prep is an independent study platform and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to the Solicitors Regulation Authority (SRA) or Kaplan. See our Terms for the full disclaimer.

Using our content to train AI

You may not copy, scrape or use SQE1 Prep’s content — including our questions, explanations and flashcards — to train, fine-tune or evaluate machine-learning models. This reflects the acceptable-use rules in our Terms of Service.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as our use of AI evolves. When we make material changes, we’ll update the “last updated” date above.
