Payment Information

• Payments are processed by Dodo Payments. We do not store your credit card number, CVV, or full payment details on our servers.
• We receive confirmation of payment status, transaction ID, and purchase type (one-time or subscription).

Usage Data

• Pages visited, features used, and time spent on the platform
• Device type, browser, operating system, and screen resolution
• IP address (anonymised in analytics)

• Provide and maintain our SQE1 exam preparation service
• Track your study progress, streaks, and performance analytics
• Identify weak areas and personalise your study experience
• Process payments and manage your subscription or lifetime access
• Send essential service communications (e.g., password resets, payment confirmations)
• Analyse usage patterns to improve our content and features
• Prevent fraud, abuse, and unauthorised access

We do not sell your personal information to third parties. We do not send marketing emails unless you explicitly opt in.

• Your data is stored securely using Supabase, with databases hosted in the EU (Frankfurt).
• All data is encrypted in transit (TLS/HTTPS) and at rest.
• Access to production databases is restricted to authorised personnel only.
• Authentication tokens are stored securely using HTTP-only cookies.
• We use Row Level Security (RLS) policies to ensure users can only access their own data.

While we take reasonable measures to protect your data, no method of electronic storage is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security.

We use the following third-party services to operate our platform:

• Supabase — authentication, database, and file storage
• Dodo Payments — payment processing
• Google Analytics — anonymous usage analytics
• Google OAuth — optional sign-in method
• Vercel — website hosting and content delivery

Each of these services has their own privacy policy governing how they handle your data.

You have the right to:

• Access — request a copy of the personal data we hold about you
• Rectify — update or correct inaccurate personal data
• Delete — permanently delete your account and all associated data from your profile settings
• Export — request an export of your study progress data

• Your data is retained for as long as your account is active.
• When you delete your account, all personal data and study progress is permanently removed from our systems.
• Anonymised, aggregated analytics data (which cannot identify you) may be retained for service improvement purposes.
• Payment records may be retained as required by applicable tax and financial regulations.

We use a limited number of cookies:

• Essential cookies — required for authentication and session management. These cannot be disabled.
• Analytics cookies — used by Google Analytics to understand how visitors use our site. These are anonymised.

We do not use advertising cookies or tracking pixels.

SQE1 Prep is designed for law students and legal professionals preparing for the Solicitors Qualifying Examination. Our service is not directed at individuals under the age of 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 16. If you believe a child under 16 has provided us with personal data, please contact us and we will promptly delete it.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. For material changes, we will notify registered users by email. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision. Your continued use of SQE1 Prep after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
